Oh, Bob...As I sat and talked with some old friends today, I realized something that has gotten me through all the not-so-fun stuff in life (and the good times too). I try to make a conscious decision that if life is too hard or too boring or whatever, that I will try to make it interesting for myself and those around me. My friends and family are happy to contribute and play along with these times.
I call them 'adventures' and sometimes even invent stories-as many of you know- just silly tales about the people around us in public or tales about ANYTHING. Like in Mary's case, the spider on the wall, in the middle of the night in Denmark became Bob the Spider to distract her from the horrendous back pain she was having. By the next morning, she and I had concocted his life story and his ancestors...pretty funny stuff when you are super tired in the middle of the night and in a foreign country!
It's the little things in life that get you through...truly and the people that can laugh about them too. So thanks to everyone!
I am truly blessed.
