"I've never understood pity and self-pity as an emotion. We have a finite amount of time. Whether short or long, it doesn't matter. Life is to be lived."
-Randy Pausch
Congrats to Randy Pausch and Kris Carr (of Crazy Sexy Cancer) for spreading their AWESOME messages through the Oprah Winfrey Show! It will air tomorrow-be sure to set your Tivos or clear your schedule to watch this! I am very much looking forward to it!
Randy Pausch is a very inspirational individual, a husband and father of 3 young children, Carnegie Mellon professor and a pancreatic cancer survivor. (The video of his 'Last Speech' is below).

Today, I am grateful that: the surgery has forced me to relax this weekend which almost never happens, for visitors and friends and family for distracting me from the jaw pain...
Love,
Rach

Thanks for the heads up on Oprah for tomorrow Rachel. I saw that video of Randy Pauch's and was blown away. He has the attitude we should all have about life. I've also seen Kris Carr and saw her documentary on tlc weeks ago..another well spoken advocate.
Glad to hear you have been relaxing and taking it easy this weekend. Follow what the body says it wants...always!!
Hey hey hey. It's Cameron and I'm going to have to get a blogspot starting asap. So that we can share messages and give thoughts.
A humble suggestion to Dr.Pausch to do Swami Ramdev's Pranayam which has helped heal number of patients with cancer. these are just breathing exercises one can do even when they are lying down or sitting. patients with cancer have recovered.
Hey, I just wanted to leave a quick comment to say that I really loved reading your blog. There is a lot of great information here for anyone interested in this topic. Keep up the good work.
