Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...

From a wonderful email passed on from my mother-I thought I'd pass it on too...

There once was a man who woke up one morning,
looked in the mirror,
and noticed he had only three hairs on his head.
'Well,' he said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'
So he did and he had a wonderful day.

The next day he woke up,
looked in the mirror
and saw that he had only two hair
s on his head.
'H-M-M,' he said,
'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.'
So he did and he had a grand day.

The next day he woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed
that he had only one hair on his head.
'Well,' he said, 'today I'm going
to wear my hair in a pony tail.'
So he did, and he had a fun, fun day.

The next day he woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed
that there wasn't a single hair on his head.
'YAY!' he exclaimed.
'I don't have to fix my hair today!'
attitude is everything.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain. Amen

Today, I am grateful for life, a day away tomorrow to see my husband's presentation, for making the to-do list manageable, for wonderful family, friends and God.

Hello Rachel - You are an inspiration. My mom passed away four years ago fromm cancer and I never knew of all the things she had done to inspire those without hope. At her memorial I was shocked to learn my mother had another life... a life of giving to others continuously. Well, at 49 years old I hope that other will say maybe, just maybe, I had insprired them. Individuals like you, and she, are far and few in-between. I felt motivated to write as one of my favorite lines comes from the poem "Attitude" by Charels Swindoll who wrote, "life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it." She reacted quite well to her news of an end day... such did Randy Pausch, professor and author of The Last Lecture. God Bless - Todd toddcmenard.com

I think I've heard that anecdote before! Oh, and Hans told me about your text last week about the Hans restaurant that you drove by (lol). I passed out on my couch after a long day of work at like 10pm (early for me!)so he got your text and told me the next day, I just remembered. Can't wait to see your hair! -D
