Time for a Quote!

Why did the achievers overcome problems while thousands
are overwhelmed by theirs? They refused to hold on to the
common excuses for failure. They turned their stumbling
blocks into stepping stones. They realized that they
couldn't determine every circumstance in life but they
could determine their choice of attitude towards every
circumstance.
-- John Maxwell

In other news...the article I mentioned last week ended up not getting published after all. Oh well, that's how media stuff works!

Also, I didn't mention in my last post that the nerve conduction test also ruled out the possibility of me having carpal tunnel. I still wish I knew why I have so much pain and some numbness-although part of me is used to always being such a medical mystery...

Today, I am grateful for lunch with a friend, fun stuff planned with friends and family the next few days, spring break is only a couple weeks away (hard to believe!), friends, family, husband and God.

Cool quote. Reminds me of this little scene from Lord of the Rings (Fellowship of the Ring):

As Frodo looks down at the ring in his hand he says that he wish that the ring had never come into his possession.

Gandalf listens, then says, "So do I, and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for us to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

They did nerve conduction tests on my arm too. They ended up telling me my nerves work, which I could have told them myself, because my arm HURT! Haha. I doubt it would hurt and go numb all the time if the nerves didn't work. So basically, they don't know why I hurt all the time. Sometimes it's just as good to not have a reason. I know what's causing my back pain, and it scares the heck out of me! Anyway, I think it's just because your back has been damaged a lot, and the place that was damaged travels over to your arm. Believe me, your whole back and neck are involved with your arm! So just take good care of your arm AND your back. You're a fragile creature, which isn't so bad. :-)

Thanks for the quote. I'm easily distracted by stuff not worth worrying about when focusing on what is worth worrying about suddenly I'm not worried anymore.

Hey Rach! My nerve attacks would go through my abdomen and literally bring me to my knees they were so bad. I have been on Neurontin for over a year now and it has helped so much. I still get mini attacks, like if I'm walking around the mall the left thigh will go numb and sometimes "pop" and "crackle". Nerves are tricky things. But the Gabapentin (Neurontin) has helped so much, have they mentioned anything like that to you?

Thanks everyone for the comments :).

@ Lindsay- Yes, I have tried Neurontin multiple times in the past-last year in fact was the most recent-but I found it to make me really sleepy and have semi-down feelings associated with it. They have mentioned trying another similar drug, if needed. We'll see...Thanks for the help :). I ALWAYS appreciate it!
